- I'm just writing to pretty much agree with the last poster Carmen. Didn't know much, well anything about ICE MAKERS until I called this company. I've never had such a great experience with a service company and will absolutely recommend them.
- My ice maker has been broken for a couple months now, and yesterday when I went for some ice I was reminded of that fact. Oh how easy it is to forget things. I checked online for some repair businesses and came across The Ice Maker Specialist. I spoke with Mike, the Owner and asked him a "ballpark figure" for a worst case scenario for a new ice maker. He said "that's a big ballpark"! I did receive another quote, but went with Mike. He asked when, I said after 1pm today, he said he'd be here between 1pm & 3pm. Mike called around 1pm and said he'd be here in a half hour or so. Right on time, Mike checked out the ice maker and I did need a new one. Since we have reverse osmosis system, he even by-passed the refrigerator's filter to give us better pressure in the water dispenser. I priced the ice makers online, and although I feel his price is a little high, but not complaining, I would use Mike again even though he's a Philly fan!! Mike completed the job in no time and I just heard it drop a bin of ice!! Woo Hoo, I have ice again. Steelers Fan!
- Used this company before, so when I started having ice maker problems again over the weekend, I called Mike. Came out Monday, had it fixed in no time. Needed a new valve and instead of charging me full price like he could have, he just charged me for the price of the part, no labor. That's what I call customer service.
- It's a good thing I don't base my decisions on what other people write, or I probably wouldn't be writing this. Decided to give the Ice Maker Specialist a call about a problem I was having with my ice maker. I really didn't want to spend a lot of money as i'm on a fixed income. After explaining the problem to Mike over the phone he said he really couldn't tell for sure what the problem was without looking at it. I explained my financial situation to him and he said he would stop by tomorrow if he was in the area. Well Mike actually showed up the following morning and in a matter of minutes the problem was fixed. He installed a new water filter and said he had an extra one on his truck so don't worry about the price. Like I said, I normally don't read (or write) reviews, but I just had to write this because Mike really does deserve it.
